MODELS :: Extenda Arm Right Angle Viewing System
The Extenda-Arm is the big cousin to the double joint, offering a greater distance between the two articulating sections (usually four feet). It consists of an articulating arm that has a locking mechanism to position the arm, and a standard head that can be articulating or not, depending on the application. The design allows for reaching over or under items for closer inspection than possible with straight probes. It differs from the double joint in that the joint closest to the pole is locked in place. Originally designed to look at seals for railroad tanker cars, other uses for the Extenda-Arm abound.
