MODELS :: Forward Viewing with Sound
Unlike other systems with sound, the Vision Stick places the microphone in the front of the unit because sound is picked best in the direction of the image. There is an omni-directional microphone, providing sound pickup from a wide angle, and therefore is suitable for search and rescue applications where the direction of the sound is unknown. This system is normally supplied with a liquid proof cover over it to protect it in case of immersion.

For narrower pickup — such as conversations from a distance — a more sensitive, directional microphone is also available. This unit has not been liquid proofed, to provide the maximum sensitivity possible from the system. The earphones have level adjustments to provide clear sound at comfortable levels.

Both the sound and the video signal can be transmitted with the Vision Stick S-Link to a base station or second monitor. The sound systems come with a special earphone system, which minimizes the volume if the head is struck.
